Kingstanding pools
The pools are approx 1 mile from the New Inn (B5017) and ¼ mile from A515, The entrance gate is marked ‘private’ and is locked (key req.). We own the pools and are always improving both fish stocks and the Pegging. You will note that each pool is individually stocked with its own species, Kingstanding pools, News, pictures, catch reports,

Caldwell Pool
In the tiny village of Caldwell (Cauldwell on some maps) the pool is down the track at the end of Church Lane (key needed). This pool is very old and as a result holds a large head of hard fighting Wild Carp to 10lbs. Barbless hooks must be used at all times! The pool also holds Roach, Bream, Perch and Tench. Any forthcoming events, news, catch reports, photo gallery post here please.

Old Dove
The Old Dove (P5 on Dove map) as its name suggests is an old section of the river that has been cut off. It has a gravel bottom, is quite shallow (4’), very clear and as a result is full of weed and lilies. Add to this the large size of the fish and you have a tough nut to crack! Some days the fish will ignore everything you offer and others they just give themselves up. The best times are early morning and late evening. The Old Dove holds good Roach, Rudd, Perch, Bream, and Carp. It is well known for its Tench and pike.

Fleam pool
Fleam pool, situated of the A38, The pool is just 60m from car park and is a pleasant place to fish with its reed fringed banks. Due to flooding the pool holds Chub and Dace as well as Carp, Bream, Roach, Perch, Tench and has produced decent sized Pike in the past. The depth decreases from 5’ at the car park end to 2’ at the far end. All the usual methods work but float fishing is better because of the silt. It can be hard at times to wean them off the plentiful natural food.

Trent and Mersey Canal
We hold rights to over 8½ miles of towpath extending from Wychnor to Clay Mills. The Canal holds all the usual species including Carp to 18lbs+, Chub to 4lbs+ and even Barbel to 8lbs+. The boat traffic can be heavy at times so for the bigger fish try early morning or late evening. All reports and pictures welcome.

The waters are very close to our Fly Fishing only water -
The lakes are on the site of a working gravel extraction company, and every care must be taken to follow the rules that we have been given.
